Business Development Executive - Asia



Business Development Executive - Asia, £40,000 - £45,000, Portsmouth



Principal Accountabilities:



Support and develop existing customer base and consultants



To identify new markets for FPT products



To evaluate new market potential for FPT products



To prepare and present new market business plans



Support negotiation of contracts / agreements with new customers for FPT products



Support introduction of new products



Identification of partnering opportunities with new supply chains / consultants





Key Responsibilities:



Customer facing activities; relationship management, technical interfacing and management of account



Key role in developing and presenting ‘Business Development’ strategies



Contributing to the marketing strategy for key business areas.



Preparing forecast information



Reporting business trends/opportunities/market intelligence.







Qualifications:



Formal qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.



Formal business qualification would be beneficial





Experience:



Minimum of 5 years in an engineering/sales environment with exposure in Asia



Synthetic rubber exposure



Knowledge of Asian Aerospace market would be beneficial.





Personal Characteristics:



Should be an effective communicator at all levels with both colleagues and customers.



Show an ability to manage internal issues and efficiently interface with customers



Able to lead successful negotiation at a senior level involving both technical and commercial issues.



Should possess excellent management and interpersonal skills.



Must be able to accept full responsibility for territory management





Critical information:



Must have the ability to work under pressure within tight time frames necessitating close working relations with other management colleagues.



Must be available for potentially substantial business travel worldwide.



Operational base will be Portsmouth (UK)



Must have the ability to work autonomously and accept total territory responsibility for programmes and customer issues
